Lauretta Cahill Glatz

The first 14 years of my life were spent living on 8th St. between 5th & 6th Avenues. I attended PS39 and Wm. Alexander JHS 51. I spent most of my time on 7th St. with Marsha, Arlene and Deidre. I have three brothers Patrick, Richard and Michael and our family name is Cahill. Some of the names I remember from 8th St. are: Delfino, White, Nicholas, Clark, Durr, Caldwell, Pasquerella, Johannas, Miranda, Tetsen. If any of this sounds familiar-please get in touch with me. I remember egg creams, hanging on the corner near the candy store after church. The boys played stick ball and the girls played Pottsie. There was a PAL on our street and it was busy all the time. When the boys got too old for roller skating in the street, they made scooters from a 2 by 4 and a wooden crate. Sometimes they used bottle caps for decoration. Any of this sound familiar?
